Glass Panel

In the 90s, green glass began to appear within structures, achieving popularity because of its ability to reflect while also absorbing sunlight passing through the glass. This glass is symbolic of a new wave of architecture in the city of Jeddah: shiny, metallic glass structures, simultaneously natural and hyperreal. These series of digital collages lead to a pair of screen prints on this found modernist glass, ‘reflecting on to the past’ and displaying a ‘split contrast’ between what was being demolished to be replaced.
